Whatever it is, your story makes a difference and we share more in common than we think.
Often, we think what we are feeling is an isolated event: but the reality is… there’s so many people who can empathize with what you’re experiencing.
I’ve learned so much about the world, others, and myself by holding space for others’ stories.
I hope to serve that same purpose by opening myself to You.

I am still a licensed psychotherapist and social worker, but I stopped actively providing therapy a few years ago to focus on my own healing journey.
Although I was competent in what I did, and genuinely loved serving people in this way, I discovered that, after 5 years of practice, becoming a therapist was a trauma-response in and of itself for me. I will be more open about this in my future blogs.

I’m learning how to navigate many topics that many other people of all ages, genders and backgrounds feel lost around: cultivating healthy relationships, finding my voice, discerning the difference between my intuition vs. trauma, setting boundaries, work-life balance, actually discovering what I want vs. what I’ve internalized others’ want from me, etc.
I’ll be shedding all those things in a vulnerable way in my writings — while sharing a lot of reflection questions and thought reframing that have helped me, or … honestly keep me stuck at times… that you may find useful in your own unique journey!
